Oyo Govt Cancels Staggered Classes In Schools, To Begin Intervention Classes For SSS 3 Students In January

Oyo State Government has announced the cancellation of staggered classes in public and private schools in the state.

The State Government has also set a new date for the commencement of intervention classes for SS3 students in January.

According to a circular by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Olasukanmi Olaleye ordered all public and private schools to resume normal classes.

The circular read, “Consuequent upon the above, all Public and Private Schools (Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Technical Colleges) in the state are to resume normal classes.”

He however urged them to utilize “every available infrastructure suitable for temporary classroom to ensure required distancing as well as continue to strictly observe other conditions stated in the guide line for resumption due to Covid-19”.

On Intervention classes, a different circular directed that Intervention classes for SSS3 students should commence on the 11th of January as contained in the attached timetable.
